It has been two years since our Mission Possible Campaign began in May 2010. The goal of this Capital Funds Campaign was to raise funds to pay for specified mission projects, accelerate debt reduction on our building loan, and free up money that we can invest in ministry to our church home, our surrounding community, and around the world. Many faithful members and friends of Ebenezer Church made 4-year financial commitments, most paying a specific amount each month over and above their regular offering. Now, halfway through this 4-year commitment, we have been able to build clean water wells for communities in developing countries, we have helped a refugee family to transition from life in the Congo to life in Fredericksburg, and we have been faithfully paying down our debt as quickly as possible. To date, we have received $729,453 for Mission Possible. But we still have a long way to go to reach our $2 million goal with only two years remaining.
Many who are now part of Ebenezer Church were not here two years ago when we launched this campaign. Others who were here at that time did not feel ready to make a financial commitment to the campaign. I am inviting all those who are not participating in Mission Possible to give prayerful consideration to making a commitment above your regular offering for the final two-years of the campaign. A monthly pledge of any amount for 24 months would help us reach our goal, allow us to continue reducing our indebtedness, and keep Ebenezer financially posed to better respond to immediate needs of the community and the world.
If you are not currently pledging to Mission Possible, you can pledge using the form below or if you prefer, you may download the Pledge Card here and bring it to church with you. Thanks again for you giving this your prayerful consideration and thank you for your financial generosity.
