Employment OpportunitiesDirector of Serve This position is responsible for leading the church in the mission and outreach ministry and for facilitating transformation through service both within the church and through outreach in the community. This position is 30 hours per week. Regular duties include but are not limited to the following: raising the value of service and encourage new ideas and ministries that will stimulate the desire to serve within EUMC and the community; developing short and long-range goals for ministry; providing spiritual leadership and expertise for continued development; coordinate and integrate service education throughout all church areas; recruit, train and mobilize lay leaders for involvement. Sermon Based Discussion classes on Sunday morning during Lent at 9:30 in room 203 and 11:00 AM in room 207, these classes will meet to discuss the sermon, scriptures verses, applicable questions and how it all applies to us as Christians in the 21st century. Ebenezer is reaching out to our local neighbors who find themselves without basic needs. S.E.R.V.E., Stafford County’s local food bank, has nearly empty shelves. Our goal is to collect 40,000 pounds of non-perishable food items and toiletries throughout Lent to RESTOCK the pantry. Help us meet our goal by bringing items to the Gathering Room during any service or event you attend throughout Lent. A PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS!
