Typically, weekday and evening activities are cancelled if Stafford County Public Schools (SCPS) are closed. Sunday services are rarely cancelled, but the worship times may be modified to allow time for cleaning of the parking lot and sidewalks. Cancellations or postponement of church activities will be posted on the internet homepage (ebenezerumc.org) and will be available by recorded message at 540.659.1349.

Details for unscheduled changes to the SCPC schedule:

If schools are closed:

no weekday preschool, adult classes or studies, youth events or children’s events.

If schools are delayed 1 hour:

preschool starts one hour late (10:15) and ends at regular time, adult morning classes start one hour late with no Kids Care. The delay does not affect afternoon and evening classes.  Events for children, youth and adults starting after the delay has expired will continue as scheduled.

If schools are delayed 2 hours:

preschool starts two hours late (11:15) and ends at 1:15 with no lunch bunch, adult morning classes are cancelled.  The delay does not affect afternoon and evening classes.  Events for children, youth and adults starting after the delay has expired will continue as scheduled.

If schools release early:

all adult, youth and children’s events scheduled to begin after the release time are generally cancelled.

Cold Weather Shelter Exception:

Schedule will continue regardless of SCPS schedule or changes.  The director will contact individuals with any changes.
