The prayer quilt is a tool. Only God is the healer. What does it mean to be a ‘member’ of the Prayer Quilt Ministry or to ‘belong’ to a Prayers & Squares chapter? There are no membership cards, no membership dues, no embarrassing initiation rituals; not even a secret handshake. You don’t even have to quilt or sew. Here are some of the ways we can use your help:

Table attendants

Quilts laid out for tying by the congregation in the Narthex are attended by one or two people whom direct and assist people who are tying knots and answer questions about the ministry.

Attaching ties

This crucial part of the ministry and doesn’t require any special training! We do this as part of our monthly workshop.

Quilters

Sewing of the quilt tops and finishing the quilt bindings. We have many patterns that have been designed by Prayers & Squares chapters around the country.
