Sewing & Knitting Event

Jackie Brence   -

October brings falling leaves, cooler weather and….National Child Health Day. This day recognizes the care and guidance children need to grow strong. Ebenezer’s Sewing Group and Phoebe Circle (Knitting and Crocheting Group) are teaming up to help children in our community on Saturday, October 1 from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM. We will meet in Rooms 202 and 203 in the Ministry Center.

We invite you to join us to knit, crochet, and sew items for children in need. We will be making pillows for the surgery center, blankets and quilts for Project Linus, and baby hats for the hospital. Drop in and stay as long as you like. This event is open to all experience levels. We will even have projects that don’t require any crafty skills!

*Please note that we are not able to accommodate children, as we will be using very sharp scissors, rotary cutters, and needles that are not kid-friendly.

  • Please bring your own lunch and snacks
  • Please bring your own sewing machine (if you have one) and your own hooks and needles for yarn projects
  • Please bring any material, thread, or yarn that you wish to donate to the event

Come join us for a day of service, fun, and fellowship. For more information, contact Marilou Shepard using the button below.
