Lunch and Learn: Faith Doesn’t Retire, Cost $5

As we age, what does it mean for our relationship with Jesus? Does it mean we can’t be used by God anymore? Does it mean that we’re not useful to Christ’s Church? Wrong! As mature adults, we have even a greater opportunity to grow in faith, serve others, and share Jesus with future generations. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that we “retire” from the Lord. For the church its time to “engage the aging,” and equip/empower senior adults for God’s work!

Our speaker is Brad Hales who is the pastor of Reformation Lutheran Church, Culpeper, Virginia and is the Director of Domestic Missions for the North American Lutheran Church. Along with being a speaker and workshop presenter on aging ministry, he has written three bible studies including; “A Covenant of Aging,” “Graying in Grace-Becoming Mature Disciples of Jesus Christ, “and “Scriptural Retirement.”
