Living the Abundant Life
We live in a fast-paced world. We feel we must be “on” all the time. This manner of living can leave us feeling on edge, disconnected, and depleted. In contrast, John captures these words of Jesus:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10, ESV).
Are you living the abundant life that Jesus speaks of? Many times, in meeting the demands of our lives, we find ourselves overwhelmed. We feel as if peace and joy are nice things to talk about, but they do not exist for us.
I invite you to address some of these feelings at our Wellness Workshop: Understanding Anxiety, Depression & Stress on Saturday, January 21 from 9:00 AM-1:30 PM. The workshop is open to ages 12 and above and will include conversations about neuroscience, coping mechanisms, and the intersection of our relationship with Christ and mental health. Through open, informative discussion, I hope to illuminate the innumerable ways in which our faith can bring real healing into every area of our lives. The morning will conclude with lunch and fellowship. Childcare is available.
