Stepping Stones is an intentional approach to growing in discipleship for people at all stages of their faith walk. Click the buttons below to find out more about each step of the discipleship journey or check out the video to get a quick overview of Stepping Stones.
Step 1: Discover
As Christians, we navigate life with Christ walking beside us. Whether you are new to faith, new to Ebenezer, or you’ve been a following Jesus since 1856 (when Ebenezer Church was founded) there is always room to grow as a disciple! Each step of the journey brings us closer to understanding what it means to be a disciple of Christ and what it takes to remain in relationship with Jesus and serve as our Savior and Lord modeled for us.
The first step is called Discover and begins with asking questions and gathering information. We’ll walk through the process of getting connected to the life of Ebenezer Church and each other and dive deep into our mission at Ebenezer as well as our 2030 long-range vision for the future. In Stepping Stones: Discover, we’ll also look at how discipleship continues with examining how you can use your gifts for God’s glory and walk through your Spiritual Gifts Assessment results. We’ll discover small groups, mission opportunities, serving opportunities, see how your financial giving supports Ebenezer. We will end our time together with an invitation to become a member of Ebenezer.

Step 2: Explore
As Christians, we navigate life with Christ walking beside us. What is a disciple? What is Church? What are the foundations of our faith? What does this have to do with me?
We continue on the path toward becoming a disciple by exploring these questions and more.

Step 3: Grow
As Christians, we navigate life with Christ walking beside us. Each step of the journey brings us closer to understanding what it means to be a disciple of Christ and what it takes to remain in relationship with Jesus and serve as our Savior and Lord modeled for us.
To become the disciple Jesus calls us to be, we must grow in our understanding of that calling. Through a study on the Book of Acts, Disciple Fast Track, and more, you will begin to see how being a disciple is the true way of life in Christ.

Step 4: Thrive
As Christians, we navigate life with Christ walking beside us. Each step of the journey brings us closer to understanding what it means to be a disciple of Christ and what it takes to remain in relationship with Jesus and serve as our Savior and Lord modeled for us.
It’s time to take all you have learned through Stepping Stones to go and make disciples. Thriving as a disciple means you are pouring into others as you have been poured into by leading classes or small groups, serving in missions and ministry, and more.
