Step by Step is an intentional approach to growing in discipleship for people at all stages of their faith walk. Click the buttons below to find out more about each step of the discipleship journey.
Step 1: Inquire
As Christians, we navigate life with Christ walking beside us. Whether you are new to faith, new to Ebenezer, or you’ve been a following Jesus since 1856 (when Ebenezer Church was founded) there is always room to grow as a disciple! Each step of the journey brings us closer to understanding what it means to be a disciple of Christ and what it takes to remain in relationship with Jesus and serve as our Savior and Lord modeled for us.
The first step is called Inquire because discipleship begins with asking questions and gathering information. In Step by Step: Inquire, we’ll walk through the process of getting connected to the life of Ebenezer Church and each other. We’ll dive deep into our mission at Ebenezer as well as our 2030 long-range vision for the future. There will also be a time of discovering your gifts and God’s unique call on your life. This leg of the journey will help you learn more about how to live into this call through the vision and ministry at Ebenezer Church.
A Disciple’s Journey is open to all people. While the first and second steps of Becoming a Disciple are part of Ebenezer’s new member orientation, all are invited to attend and learn how we can all grow closer as disciples of Jesus Christ. Step 2: Discover

The second step is called Discover because discipleship continues with examining how you can use your gifts for God’s glory. In Step by Step: Discover, we’ll walk through your Spiritual Gifts Assessment results. We’ll discover small groups, mission opportunities, serving opportunities, see how your financial giving supports Ebenezer. We will end our time together with an invitation to become a member of Ebenezer.
