Beatitudes
The Sermon on the Mount is the most profound statement on ethics in human history. As we begin this muti-week study of Jesus’ great teaching, we encounter the call and the promise of the beatitudes. These statements set the stage for the upside-down Kingdom of God described in Matthew’s Gospel and teach us how to follow Christ throughout our lives and into the very Kingdom of Heaven.
