The Low Leader
We are all leaders. We lead our families, our community, we provide leadership out into the world. Anywhere that we have influence over the lives of others we are leaders. In our culture successful leadership is often measured by outcomes and achievements. I have led well if the bottom line grows or my child gets into the college of their choosing. And in order to achieve success as a leader we are told to change everything about ourselves and become something we’re not. The greatest leader in history, Jesus Christ, teaches us that a true leader doesn’t rule their power over others, they use their power to serve others. That’s because we are secure in who we are in Jesus Christ and clear on what he has called us to do. Join us as we look further into the story of the first followers of Jesus Christ and how they learned that through servant leadership we can change the world.
