Fear for Peace
There are so many fears in our lives. We fear heights and airplanes, death and speaking in public. Despite the fact that most of the things we fear never comes to pass, still, we are afraid. That is why God speaks so often and so powerfully in scripture about the blessing of peace. As we begin this season of Advent we launch a series titled, Give Up. In the light of God’s many gifts to us through Christ, what might we be willing to give up in order to make room for God’s blessing this year? Perhaps, we should begin by giving up our fear for peace.
