Redemption for All
No one wanted to listen to the Old Testament Prophets. More often than not, the message God called prophets to deliver involved disrupting lives and comfort. The words God gave the prophets to deliver called out idols and false worship. God called Jonah to GET UP, GO, and PROCLAIM God’s message to Ninevah–a brutal nation, and a place and a people Jonah would have never chosen to go to without God’s prompting. Today? I believe God is calling the church to face our own idols, to turn away from false worship, and to move into spaces we would rather not go. Where may God be calling the church to GET UP, GO, and PROCLAIM his message today?
