What Things?

This is not the story we are used to at Easter. It takes place on Easter, but it isn’t the one we read Easter morning. Perhaps it should be. The road to Emmaus teaches us so much about being resurrection, Easter people. It teaches us the humility of knowing God works in ways we don’t always understand. It teaches us how deep God’s love is for us, but most of all, this story reminds us that it is important to understand. Jesus walked and talked with the Emmaus disciples for four hours, telling them what it all meant. Do you know? Do you know what Easter really means? It isn’t just about going to heaven. No. It is bigger even than that. Join us for this greatest of all days as once more we proclaim He is risen. He is risen indeed.
