Prayer Works
When you pray for people, the Holy Spirit will reveal how you might help or appreciate them. Here are some ideas for ways to put your prayers into action and love your neighbor. Prayer works!
Cold Weather Shelter – 1st and 2nd Saturdays of the month, November-March, 5:30-8:00 PM. Provide a warm welcome for unhoused neighbors by greeting clients, setting up cots, and offering light snacks and fellowship.
Coldest Night of the Year – Saturday, February 25, 4:00-7:00 PM. Bundle up and join Ebenezer’s team to support Micah Ministries at this fundraiser walk.
Brisben Shelter Meals – Saturday, February 18, 4:00-7:00 PM. Join our volunteer team and help prepare and serve a hearty meal for Brisben Shelter residents.
Operation Warm – Operation Warm is a non-profit organization that partners with local agencies, including Stafford County Public Schools, to provide coats and shoes for children in need.
Compassion Restoration Woodcutting Ministry – Ebenezer partners with Compassion Restoration Ministries (CRM) regularly to cut, split, deliver, and stack firewood for those who rely on it for heating. Anyone age 10 and above is welcome to help.
Strengthen Relationships by Sharing a Meal – An easy recipe to bring family and friends together.
Liturgies for Parents – A collection of modern liturgies and accessible breath prayers for parents raising kids in a complicated world.

Parent Cue App – A free app from Orange Curriculum to help parents raise kids with faith and character.
Prepare/Enrich – Premarital and marriage assessments that strengthen understanding and relationships.

Boundaries Book Study – Begins April 13, 7:00 -8:30 PM. Learn when to say yes and know how to say no in order to take control of your life and set healthy, Biblical boundaries with your spouse, children, friends, and even yourself (9-week course).
Wellness Workshop: Understanding Depression, Anxiety & Stress – May 6, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. Join Christian Counselor Keith Priest for informative discussions about neuroscience, coping mechanisms, and the intersection of our relationship with Christ and mental health.
Stafford Hope – Stafford Hope exists to foster hope and healing by offering classes, support groups, and resources.
Christian Counseling – Ebenezer Church offers Biblically-based counseling free of charge to our community through Christian Counselor Keith Priest.
Nar-Anon – Nar-Anon is a community that exists to support family and friends of narcotic abusers. Our local chapter meets every other Wednesday at 6:30 PM.
Cancer Support Group – The Cancer Support Group meets virtually on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM to provide support for patients, survivors, caregivers, family members, and friends whose lives have been affected by cancer.
Caregiver Support Group – The Caregiver Support Group meets on the third Monday of each month at 1:00 PM to support those who are caring for an older person with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other chronic health issues.
GriefShare – GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences.
Reboot First Responders – Reboot First Responders is a 12-week, faith-based course that helps first responders and their families heal from critical incident stress and trauma.
Worship Watch – Ebenezer participates in this local network of churches and law enforcement agencies that work together to address community needs and security issues.
Kairos Prison Ministry – Ebenezer provides cookies to support Kairos programs at the Suffolk State Prison twice each year. As Kairos changes the minds and heart of prisoners, it also improves prison environments.
